Track 3 - Another Sunrise

Halfway through, it feels shorter though, as the old adage goes time goes fast when you’re having fun. If anyone was anyone was looking for my omniscient opinion on this phrase then I can confirm it as true, owing to the fact that 22 years round the sun have gone by in a flash for this fun seeking indie crazed fanatic. My knack for fun seeking leads me rather smoothly onto the next song I will be loosely reviewing - more rambling on about - “Another sunrise”.

The most memorable part for me is the chorus, “I’m going out tonight!”. Ever since I was lucky enough to hear this truly remarkable song, the chorus rattles through my skull when, well… going out... and When I’m going out of course, I am always looking to have as much fun as possible, and the egotist in me believes that I have around a 99.999999% success rate, although if my nights out were to be analysed by an analyst that specialised in fun rates I’m sure the number would be more comparable to 98%. as I write this, I am realising that every time I have ended up at an afters till the paperboys finish their round and once again seeing ‘Another Sunrise’ – clever, I know - this provides a stamp of authentication on the idea of time going by quickly when you’re having fun.

Personal Napalm Cufflinks adventures aside, ‘Another Sunrise’ also provides this phrase with a stamp of authentication, although I do think the last paragraph was evidence enough. The song is loud, catchy, FUCKING SUPERB and only three minutes and a bit long and feels only half that? Why oh Why Fatale? Not to worry, I’m going to make an assumption - for those that read my last piece I have changed my mind on assumptions, in the writing game dogmatism is a slippery slope. Firstly, it is agreed upon by essentially everyone in all walks of life to leave the people wanting more – whether that’s in a song, a series, a conversation or if you’re an employer, wages to your employees – and secondly, it’s hardly their fault they are such an exciting band that can make three minutes feel like nothing.

Such is life eh, all fatale fans are sentenced to a life of wanting infinitely more from five boys from Lanarkshire – its cruel really.

Anyway, here is a made-up quote from the guys… “Our fans wanted the world from us, and all we could give them was Saint Mungo… for now!”.
